An app provided "as is"

Podcast Sleep Aid is distributed free of charge, as a personal project. It is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied (reliability, availability, freedom from errors, fitness for a particular purpose). You use it at your own risk. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the author shall not be liable for any damage, direct or indirect, arising from the use of (or inability to use) the app.

The author may, at any time and without notice, change the app, its features and these terms, suspend the service, or remove it from the App Store. No continuity of service and no preservation of any feature is guaranteed.

Sleep-focused editorial choices

Podcast Sleep Aid is a player specialized in helping you fall asleep, not a general-purpose podcast player. To serve that purpose, the author makes editorial choices: highlighting certain moods, curating categories, and filtering out some podcasts or categories deemed inappropriate for that focus (for example anxiety- inducing content) or simply left aside at the owner's discretion.

As a result, some podcasts or categories may be missing or unavailable in the app, without this reflecting any judgment about their quality. You remain free to add any public RSS feed by its URL.

Podcasts: third-party content

Podcast Sleep Aid is a player: the app hosts, produces and edits no podcast whatsoever. Episodes come from the publishers' public RSS feeds, which you choose. Search results, trends and charts come from third-party catalogs (see the credits below). The "Tonight" showcase is a selection of links to those same public feeds: it is neither an endorsement of what is said, nor a guarantee of its accuracy.

The author has no control over this content and disclaims all responsibility for its accuracy, legality, potentially offensive nature, or the opinions expressed in it. Some episodes may contain explicit material; where available, that information is declared by the publisher in its own feed.

Rights holders: if a referenced podcast raises an issue, please contact its publisher or the relevant catalog first. To request the removal of a link from the "Tonight" showcase, write to us and we will remove it promptly: [email protected]

Legality of access in your country

It is your responsibility to verify that accessing and listening to a podcast is permitted under the laws applicable in your country, including podcasts featured in the "Tonight" showcase. Laws on content, the press and censorship vary widely from one country to another.

Editorial selections are made without regard to each user's local legislation. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the author cannot be held liable if referenced or featured content breaches the law of your country. When in doubt, refrain from accessing it.

Technical issues and unavailability

The app relies on third-party services and servers: publishers' RSS feeds, the Apple Podcasts and Podcast Index catalogs, networks, iCloud. It may experience outages, slowdowns, errors or loss of functionality, temporary or permanent, beyond our control. A podcast may become unreachable or disappear at any time if its publisher changes, moves or removes its feed.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the author disclaims all responsibility for any technical issue, unavailability of the app or of a podcast, or loss of playback data. When an episode fails to load or a feed is unavailable, the cause usually lies with the podcast provider: please contact them, as you would for any question about the content.

Catalog sources (credits)

Search, trends and charts rely on two third-party catalogs, credited here:

  • Podcast Index, an open index of podcast feeds. podcastindex.org
  • Apple Podcasts, Apple's directory and charts. Apple Podcasts, subject to the Apple Media Services Terms.

These trademarks and data belong to their respective owners; mentioning them implies no partnership with, or endorsement by, them.

Not a medical device, not medical advice

The sleep timer and related features are comfort features. Podcast Sleep Aid is not a medical device, makes no health claims, and is not a substitute for professional advice. If sleep problems persist, please consult a healthcare professional.

Trademarks, artwork and external links

Podcast titles, descriptions and artwork belong to their publishers and are displayed as provided by the feeds and catalogs, for identification purposes. Podcast websites and any other links opened from the app are the responsibility of their respective publishers; the author is not responsible for their content. Apple, iPhone, iPad, iCloud and App Store are trademarks of Apple Inc.

Changes to these terms

These terms may evolve along with the app; the version published on this page prevails. Questions? [email protected]
